Molasses-Protein Blocks

Product Profile

In many situations cattle pastures and hay are deficient in protein and energy, compared to cattle nutritional requirements.

Molasses-Protein Blocks provide a convenient source of protein and energy designed to bridge this nutritional gap. Animal licks the block all the day and full-fill its additional nutrient need.

Molasses-Protein Blocks is low-moisture block supplement for livestock, featuring a nutrient-dense blend of molasses, proteins, hydrolyzed vegetable oil, minerals and trace minerals all in one block.  No urea is added, so all the protein is true protein, no NPN.

Feeding Directions

Molasses-Protein Blocks are to be fed to cattle on a free choice basis. Blocks should be placed where cattle congregate (watering, feeding, and loafing areas).

While consumption may vary according to forage quality, animal nutritional status, and environmental conditions, cattle should consume approximately 0.5 kg to 1 kg per head per day based on a 500 Kg animal.

Increased consumption, if desired, may often be obtained by moving feeding stations closer to shaded areas, loafing areas, water sources or by increasing the number of blocks available to animals. Any combination of these practices may be implemented to increase consumption.

If over-consumption occurs for more than two weeks and repositioning of the blocks does not correct the situation, remove blocks and evaluate overall feeding program.

Molasses-Protein Blocks, can safely be used in pregnant animals.
